Frequently asked questions
Everything guests ask us most often about check-in, the apartment, kids, pets and booking direct. Can't find your answer? Message Martina on WhatsApp.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. If the apartment is ready earlier, early check-in is available on request — and late check-out can often be arranged too, whenever possible.
How does self check-in work?
Entry is keyless: you get a personal code for the door keypad, so there's no key handover and no waiting around. Before you enter, Italian law requires us to verify your ID — in person, over a quick video call, or through other forms of real-time visual verification.
How many guests can the apartment sleep?
Up to 4 guests, across 2 bedrooms with 2 beds (a double bed plus a premium double sofa bed) and 2 full bathrooms.
We're two people who'd like separate beds — is that possible?
Yes. Besides the main bedroom, the second room has a premium double sofa bed and closes off with glass partitions and blackout curtains, turning into a private bedroom. Just mention it when you book and you'll find both beds made up on arrival.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, Nolo75 is pet-friendly: you'll find two bowls and a non-slip mat in the kitchen. We only ask that you keep pets off the beds and sofas and rinse the bowls after use.
Is the apartment set up for babies and small children?
Yes. On request, and free of charge, we provide a Hauck Dream'n Play travel cot (up to 15 kg), a certified high chair, a baby bathtub (up to age 3) and a potty. Cot sheets aren't provided, so it's best to bring your own. Just let us know before you arrive.
Is smoking allowed?
Not indoors. You're welcome to smoke on the main balcony, where you'll find an ashtray.
Can we throw a party or host an event?
No — parties and events aren't allowed, and quiet hours run from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Photo shoots and other professional uses of the space also need to be agreed with us in advance.
Are there any cameras?
There is a single outdoor camera pointed only at the entrance. No indoor areas are recorded. The apartment is fitted with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Is the Wi-Fi good enough for remote work?
Yes: fast Wi-Fi, a dedicated desk to work at and ducted air conditioning throughout the apartment. And when you clock off, there is a Smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video included.
Is there a washing machine?
Yes: the second bathroom has a stacked washer and dryer, entirely at your disposal. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen too.
Does the apartment have any outdoor space?
Yes — two private balconies overlooking the internal courtyard, perfect for your morning coffee. The main balcony has an ashtray for smokers.
How do I pay if I book through the website?
You pick your dates, see the price instantly and pay by card via Stripe. When you book we authorise the payment but do not charge it. Then we ask one quick thing to complete your booking: an identity check (ID + selfie, required by law). Once that’s done, we confirm availability, usually within a few hours, and only then is your card charged. If we cannot accept the booking, the authorisation is released with no charge. You can pay in full (with a discount) or hold your dates with a 30% deposit and settle before arrival.
When is my card charged?
Not straight away. When you book, your card is only authorised (the amount is held but not taken). After your identity check we confirm availability, usually within a few hours: only then is your card charged. If we are unable to accept the booking, or if the check isn’t completed, the authorisation is released automatically and you are charged nothing.
Why do you ask me to verify my identity?
It’s a quick step required by law for guest registration (ID + selfie, a few seconds, handled securely by Stripe). Only the guest who booked needs to do it, and it’s the last step that completes your booking: once verified, we confirm and only then is your card charged.
What is the cancellation policy?
Before we confirm you pay nothing: your card is only authorised and, if we do not accept the booking, the authorisation is released on its own, with no charge. Once the booking is confirmed: up to 14 days before check-in you get a full refund; between 14 and 7 days before we keep 30% of the room cost (the deposit) and refund the rest, or — when possible — we move your dates at no cost; from 7 days before onwards the booking is non-refundable. The cleaning fee and city tax are always refunded, in every case. During high-demand periods (Salone del Mobile / Milan Design Week, fashion weeks, New Year’s and major long weekends), flagged when you book, a stricter rule applies: full refund up to 30 days before check-in, then non-refundable (cleaning fee and city tax always refunded). If at booking you choose the Flexible rate (when available, paid in a single payment), a single rule applies instead: full refund until the day before check-in, in any period.
Where is the apartment located?
Nolo75 is in NoLo (North of Loreto), just north-east of central Milan. The M1 metro (Pasteur and Rovereto stations) is about a 5-minute walk, and from there the Duomo is ~10 minutes away. Milano Centrale (Central Station) is about a 15-minute walk. For privacy, we share the exact address once your booking is confirmed.
How far is Milano Centrale (Central Station)?
About a 15-minute walk, or a few minutes on the M1 metro from Pasteur/Rovereto. Very handy if you arrive by train or come from the airports via Central Station.
How do I get here from the airport?
From Malpensa: the Malpensa Express train to Milano Centrale, then metro M1 (2 stops) or a ~15-minute walk. From Linate: metro M4 to San Babila, then change to the M1. From Bergamo–Orio al Serio: a coach to Milano Centrale, then M1 or on foot. Full details, times and costs are on our “Getting here” page.
Is NoLo a safe and pleasant area to stay?
NoLo (North of Loreto) is a residential, multicultural and thriving creative district: independent cafés, street art, the Piazza Morbegno covered market and the large Parco Trotter. It is well served by the M1 metro and lived-in at all hours. As in any big city, the usual common-sense precautions apply.
Why is it better to book directly on nolo75.it?
Because you get the guaranteed best price for this home, you deal directly with Martina (tips, special requests, no middlemen), and you have more flexibility on early check-in and late check-out when possible. It is the same apartment as in the reviews — only the channel changes, not the quality.
Is there a minimum stay?
The minimum stay is usually 2 nights (it can be higher in peak periods). The calendar on the site instantly shows whether your dates are available and at what price.
How much does it cost to stay at Nolo75?
The price depends on your dates and the number of guests. Enter your dates on the site for an instant, transparent quote: booking direct gets you the guaranteed best price, with your card charged only on confirmation.
When is the best time to visit Milan? Are there major events?
Spring and autumn have the most pleasant weather; summer is hot and winter mild but damp. Milan hosts big events that fill the city — above all the Salone del Mobile / Milan Design Week (April) and Fashion Week (February and September); for those, book well in advance. NoLo, well connected by the M1, makes a handy base that is calmer than the centre.
What documents do all guests need?
By law (art. 109 of the Italian TULPS) we must register every guest with the authorities: before arrival we ask for each guest’s details and a valid ID (identity card or passport). The lead guest also completes a quick identity check when booking.
Is there air conditioning and heating?
Yes: ducted air conditioning throughout the apartment, with automatic fresh-air exchange (MVHR), plus heating. Comfortable in both summer and winter.
Is the apartment good for families?
Very much so: two bedrooms, a free cot, high chair and baby bathtub on request, and the large Parco Trotter a short walk away. The area is quiet and well connected — easy to get around with children.
